Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 25, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information BuzzMe (“BuzzMe,” “we,” “us”) collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to the BuzzMe app, website, and related services (the “Service”).
1. Information you provide
When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and password (stored only as a secure hash). When you use BuzzMe, you may add content such as passes, tickets, documents, profile details (a short bio, location, commute, and website), messages, and meetings. You control what you choose to add.
2. Information collected automatically
We collect basic technical information needed to run the Service, such as device and browser type, and we may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand aggregate usage. With your permission, we collect device location to surface the right pass near a station, and a push subscription identifier so we can deliver notifications you opt into.
3. How we use your information
- To operate, maintain, and improve the Service.
- To store and display your vault, documents, and messages to you.
- To deliver reminders and service alerts you opt into.
- To process purchases through our payment partner.
- To power AI features you choose to use.
- To detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, and security issues.
- To communicate with you about the Service.
4. Encryption and security
Messages are encrypted at rest. We use access controls and other safeguards designed to protect your data, and each user’s data is scoped to their account. No system is perfectly secure; our measures are best-effort and not a guarantee. Please use a strong, unique password.
5. Sharing your information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with service providers who help us operate BuzzMe (for example, our hosting, database, payment, and AI providers), bound by appropriate obligations, or when required by law. Content you share through messaging or connections is visible to the people you share it with.
6. Third-party providers
BuzzMe relies on trusted third parties, including cloud hosting and database services, a tokenized payment processor, and AI model providers. These providers process data on our behalf to deliver the features you use; we do not give them your data for their own marketing.
7. Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You can delete content within the app, and you can request deletion of your account and associated data (see Contact below). Some records may be retained where required by law.
8. Your choices and rights
You can edit or remove much of your content directly in the app, turn notifications and location access on or off at any time, and request access to or deletion of your personal data. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA. We honor applicable requests.
9. Children
BuzzMe is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age of digital consent in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will take reasonable steps to notify you and will update the “last updated” date above.
